
Discover the most beautiful sides of Romania during a wonderful cultural journey to Transylvania and Bucovina. The journey starts in the Romanian capital of Bucharest and continues on to Sibiu, the European Capital of Culture in 2007.
We continue to the medieval towns and fortified churches founded by German colonists, among the world-famous painted Orthodox monasteries of Bukovina, including Voronet Monastery, the so-called "Sistine Chapel of the East", to Brasov and to the breathtaking castles Peles and Dracula.
Typical food, encounters with the locals, folklore and many authentic experiences are not be missed.

Lördag: Ankomst Bukarest
Our local guide greets you "Welcome to Romania!" at the airport in Bucharest. We start our tour with a city tour in through the heart of Bucharest.
We will discover the highlights of the Romanian metropolis, such as the Arch of Triumph, the Victory Square, the Victory Palace, the Revolution Square and the Parliament Palace.
Check-in and dinner at the hotel.
Resdag 2. Söndag: Bukarest – Sibiu
We will leave Bucharest in the morgning and engage in our exploration of the most famous region in Romania, Transylvania. We drive along the magical Olt Valley, one of the most beautiful and spectacular areas in Romania, and make a stop in Cozia, where we will visit the medieval monastery. Around noon, we arrive and take a walking tour in the famous and cosy little town of Sibiu. We will see the Grand Square and Small Square, the Liar’s Bridge and the Evangelical Church. In the evning we enjoy a traditional dinner with brandy and wine in the village of Sibiel.
Resdag 3. Måndag: Sibiu – Medias – Biertan – Sighisoara – Targu Mures
Soon after breakfast we continue our drive to Medias, where we will visit the St. Margaret Church, constructed between 1437 and 1488 by the ethnic German Transylvanian Saxon community.
We continue our tour to Biertan, where we will discover the magificant fortified church, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The beautiful town of Sighisoara is our next stop. Here we will take a walking tour in the historical center and find out more about the Watch Tower, the Church on the Hill and the Birth House of count Vlad III Dracula. Dinner at the hotel.
Resdag 4. Tisdag: Targu Mures – Bistrita – Gura Humorului/ Suceava
In the morning visit the city of Targu Mures with its famous Rose Square and the Orthodox Cathedral. Drive further to Bistrita, where you will take a walking tour and then, through the Tihuta Pass, arrive in Bucovina. Dinner at the hotel.
Resdag 5. Onsdag: Gura Humorului/Suceava – Monasteries – Piatra Neamt
Today visit the Moldovita Monastery, where you will enjoy a guiding tour made by a nun. Shortly after that, continue your journey to the Sucevita Monastery. In the afternoon visit the Voronet Monastery from the 15-th century, which is known as the “Sistine Chapel of East”. Afterwards drive to Piatra Neamt. Dinner at the hotel.
Resdag 6. Torsdag: Piatra Neamt – Prejmer – Brasov
In the morning continue your trip along the breathtaking landscapes of the Bicaz Gorge towards Transylvania. Around noon you will arrive at the fortified church Prejmer, which is UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon take a walking tour in Brasov, where you will visit the famous Black Church. Dinner at the hotel.
Resdag 7. Fredag: Brasov – Bran – Sinaia - Bucharest
In the morning you visit the Dracula Castle, which was built in the 14-th century as customs between Transylvania and Wallachia. Then continue your trip to Sinaia, one of the most beloved destinations of Romania, where you’ll visit the magnificent summer residence of the former Royal family, the Peles Castle. Afterwards drive to Bucharest. Farewell dinner with folk show and wine in a local restaurant.

Free time at leisure. Then drive to the airport and say farewell to the guide.
